Encrypted, no master key.
Nobody holds a key that opens every vault. The server can't read the content of your vaults or your sync.
AI, only if you choose it.
AI is off by default.
- Voice transcription runs on your device. The model (about 74 MB) is only downloaded if you turn it on (in the installed app; not in the web version).
- Cloud AI (OpenAI or Anthropic) only works with your own key. The text you send is then not end-to-end encrypted: the provider you pick can read it.
We also tell you what isn't end-to-end encrypted.
Logs you send to support aren't. Remote AI isn't either. We'd rather say it plainly.
You can leave whenever you want.
You can always export your data. No lock-in.
